"From Flash to web3, still building with heart"
James and I go way back to a golden era of the internet, when design studios were pushing the limits of what the web could be. Back when Flash ruled and a handful of us slept less so we could build more. We weren’t just making websites. We were crafting experiences. And even if we were at competing agencies, there was a shared energy. A reverence for craft that never left.
In many ways, that era feels like the early days of web3. Experimental, community-fueled, driven by builders who care more about the why than the hype. What we used to do through blog rings and award sites, we now do through PFPs and X. And James has stayed rooted in that same ethos.
It makes me proud to have designed alongside him back then, and to now watch him help lead at Yuga. He’s proof that craft, conviction, and curiosity age well. And I’m right here with that same fighting spirit for what comes next.
