A few quick thoughts - Zora is a polished app. It works well, it's obvious what they're trying to do, and right now it's working. - They've done a good job of integrating into stuff like The Base App and Farcaster - The tokenomics and design of the token are pretty solid - launch a coin, get paid in $zora - I don't really believe in the concept of "tokenizing everything" but that doesn't mean I can't admit that they have a good product that works well. I don't believe the team is extractive, I don't think that they are "untrusted" at all. I think they launched in a rough time and their token price is really helping them shine now. Sometimes the product is the price, weirdly. but for them to be "untrusted" on Ethos is totally unfair

Zora is a great place where artists can display and earn from their art. They are pushing the boundaries by implementing ERC20 coins into their model.

Not only did they milk users for 1000 days. Not only did they rug thousands of users with a barebones garbage token with a botched launch. But the CEO acts like he's the second coming of God (newsflash: he isn't), while being selfserving and greedy to the absolute maximum. Claimed to be a Freemint commemorative NFT but charged extra fees, amounting to as high as 2000 ETH in 2023 alone. In the 2025 TGE event, most of the community tokens were given to the Binance Alpha airdrop. Such a stupid platform. Their original idea was a bust so they just copied pumpfun. We don't need a billion "content coins". We already have too many memecoins. Just shut it down already bruh.

It’s wild how such an experienced team could deliver one of the worst executions I’ve seen. Zora prioritized Binance Alpha, which didn’t even result in an exchange listing, over their own users and creators. The claim was delayed, and the last-minute cahoots with Jesse from Base to inflate metrics felt forced. Whatever excitement there was is completely gone now. Hard to believe the token will ever recover real momentum

I started using the Zora protocol in 2021 and have minted many NFTs to support creators and artists. For the project's TGE, Binance users in the IDO received $140 worth of Zora per user, while regular users only learned about the airdrop claim after the event ended via the official Twitter account. My two frequently used EVM addresses only received $10 worth of airdrop. This is a project that lacks a genuine community foundation and is only focused on issuing tokens. It's a protocol that has raised a lot of money from top VCs over the years but has never gained real traction.
