"the power of the community"
The fact that refunds have started clearly indicates that there is a mistake or malfunction. In my opinion, if there hadn't been such a strong reaction on social media, a refund fund of this magnitude wouldn't have been established.
However, in this process, those who attacked the exchange with Photoshop or similar materials diluted the issue, causing the greatest harm to the actual victims. I definitely don't find unfair smear campaigns — regardless of who or which institution they target — to be right. But as I mentioned above, "where there's smoke, there's fire.”
As a result, I appreciate Binance's move to provide partial support to users who suffered losses as a result of the events. Time will tell if this step is sufficient. I hope this process won't just cover a small portion of the losses and try to close the matter by "giving alms.”
I would also like to clearly state that if a similar situation occurs on another exchange, I will never hesitate to react. Everyone who knows me can be sure that I will keep my word; I reiterate this commitment to you once again.
Finally, I have taken note of every single immoral person who implies that I am standing by the victims for personal gain. These types generally have a "take my life, but don't take my money" mentality; they are involved in illegal betting, don't pay a single penny in taxes on the income they earn from their marketing activities without invoicing, hide behind aliases, think they are untouchable, and engage in populism based on people's losses.
I will personally file a complaint against these individuals with the CMB, the tax authorities, and other relevant government agencies, and I will follow the process until the end.
I will not make any further statements on this matter, and I have not and will not engage in personal discussions with anyone. I think everyone with a mind and conscience can evaluate what happened for themselves.
I extend my condolences to everyone who has suffered losses, and to those who haven't. I hope that such dark days will never happen again in this industry.
