One of the biggest complaints about the BASE chain has been the lack of support at the chain level—not just for simple DApps, but for NFT and gaming projects too. That’s exactly why B3 was conceived: to build out a dedicated gaming layer through a unified fund system. In reality, the B3 chain is really just an onboarding tool—it doesn’t force anyone to use its own chain during the onboarding process. But thanks to strong ties with Coinbase and a solid network of contacts, it’s well positioned to bring some top-tier IP on board. Sometimes tokens are a necessary evil. To keep the ecosystem thriving, you might consider some sort of subsidy policy. However, Base doesn’t have its own token, and the procedural complexities involved in receiving subsidies often end up causing friction. Having worked at a gaming company within the Base ecosystem myself, I’m pretty convinced that B3 will essentially operate as the “gaming ecosystem fund of the BASE chain.” Sure, there’s been radio silence after the TGE, and some folks might argue whether the current FDV is justified—but I’m betting things will gradually improve. But.. I would be hesitant to recommend buying tokens.
