"The motivation you didn’t know you needed"
I first met him on Eclipse, or maybe I should say thanks to Eclipse, or even because of it. Hard to tell. Eclipse was both a beautiful mess and a big disappointment, and in that chaos, you either lost your way or you found people who made the whole thing worthwhile. For me, Yoliu.hl was one of the latter.
From the start, it was obvious he isn’t here halfway.
Whatever he does, he does it fully. No shortcuts, no “I’ll show up later.” He gives his time, his energy, his attention, and you feel it. On the Mage Discord, he’s everywhere. Always present, always answering, always pushing the conversation further instead of letting it die. That consistency alone is rare enough to notice.
But it goes deeper. He didn’t just show up: he built. On Hyperliquid, he committed himself to understanding, sharing, testing, guiding. And I can say without hesitation that I’ve learned a lot from him. Not from guides or PDFs, but from direct exchanges, from the way he translates complexity into clarity.
There’s also something else: motivation by example. He doesn’t preach, he doesn’t tell you what you should do. He simply does, and does it at a level that forces you to want more for yourself. You don’t reach the ability to allocate serious funds in this space without skill, patience, and resilience. Seeing that in action is the best reminder that talent grows with discipline. And personally, it makes me want to sharpen myself every single day.
So yes, Eclipse was chaos. But if chaos sometimes feels like a filter, then Yoliu.hl is the proof of what remains when the noise fades. A person in gold, in every sense of the word. Someone who shows up, gives back, and quietly inspires others to raise their own bar.
And that’s why, when I think of what it means to stay in this space, his name is one of the first that comes to mind.
