I had the pleasure of meeting Katie through the Coffee with Captain community years ago. Katie is the kind of person who makes any space better by how she shows up. She is consistent, thoughtful and easy to trust. She makes people feel welcome and comfortable being themselves, which is not something everyone naturally knows how to do. It's not a forced type of feeling. She is supportive and genuinely cares about people. She is also helpful in real ways, whether that means giving useful feedback, showing support or connecting people. She brings a steady presence that makes groups stronger because people enjoy being around her.
