You could say I almost don't know him, because we rarely greet each other. I also don't really care about the people around me, but I know him because I've seen him chatting with several people I know. Even though I've seen his posts about a project several times, and even though I don't interact much with his posts, one thing I know is that he is a patient and consistent person.
