This type upholds the original philosophy of crypto: privacy and anarchy. They are staunchly anti-KYC (Know Your Customer) and refuse to use centralized exchanges (CEXs) that require ID card data. They prefer privacy coins (like Monero), use mixers to obscure transaction traces, and are highly paranoid about data security (OpSec). For them, crypto is a tool for resistance against the banking system and state surveillance, not simply a means of profit.
