My curiosity about Web3 was a great 'startup idea.' I had the 'material' (a business plan), but I had no 'capital' at all to get it started. Dinaacans' explanation was 'seed funding.' It was a small injection of 'knowledge capital,' but enough to get my 'company' going. Once the wheels were turning, my 'company' started generating its own 'revenue' (knowledge) and grew exponentially. He was the first investor to believe in my idea.
