Initially, my mind was a complex machine. I had all the main 'gears' (curiosity), but none of them connected. Everything was spinning uselessly in its place. Killwan's simple explanation was that a small 'connecting gear' had been missing. Once he put it in the right place, that one small touch suddenly connected my 'main engine' with all the other mechanisms. Suddenly, the entire machine that had been silent began to move in unison, producing understanding.
