Many people can teach you a skill. But only a true mentor can pass on a spirit. Dieson didn't just fill my head with knowledge; he instilled the βDNAβ of a mentor into my way of thinking. That DNA consists of strands of patience, generosity, and most importantly, the belief that knowledge should be shared, not kept to oneself. His teachings go beyond the technical; they are lessons in character. Now, every time I see someone as confused as I once was, I feel that legacy calling me to do the same.
