"The main L2 on ETH"

I think that when we talk about layer2, the first one that always comes to mind is Base. Both for the number of DAPPs that are there, for the performances, for the huge number of builders that work on it and for the community super interested in keeping the project alive. Many layer2 died shortly after doing the airdrop, base still doesn't know if it will ever do an airdrop, but I'm sure that even if it comes out, users will not abandon the chain immediately after.

This is the best take on Base I have seen. You nailed the difference: on other chains, liquidity leaves the moment the incentives stop. On Base, the culture and the consumer apps like Farcaster keep people there even without a token. It's the only L2 that feels like a real ecosystem rather than just a farm.

Im agreed with you. Layer 2 is my favorite and frequently used method. It's inexpensive, fast, and flexible. Even my Wi-Fi is called Base.
